It’s the summer of 2001 and four friends from a nowhere town in the Midlands are facing the next chapters of their lives. Max is reckoning with heartbreak after his first love dumps him, Kirsty is trying to escape the clutches of her manipulative mother, Nick is staring down the barrel of a summer working at Coasterville, and Ade, having recently come out, just wants to enjoy Big Brother before he starts college in September.
