The

Soup Movement

To aid his recovery from a life-threatening illness Jordan and his family move out of the city for a healthy new start. Jordan’s getting enough funny looks as the new boy at school as it is, without his Mum giving him a homemade soup every day for lunch! But when Jordan meets a homeless man called Harry, and gives him his soup, it is the start of an unlikely friendship.

“It’s more than just soup”

“Very funny and deeply moving, this is a lovely book for children in the early years of secondary school, with lots to chew on…” - BookTrust

“The Soup Movement is more than just the smile-inducing comfort read it first appears to be. Like any good broth, its hearty and simple flavours are the result of the complex artistry of th cook. Mirroring this, the ease and lightness with which TheSoup Movement deals with serious - and, at times, dark - issues is testament to the skill of author Ben Davis…” - Sam Creighton, Just Imagine

“…a powerful and emotional book…” - Scope for Imagination

“This story is a reminder that big things round the world aren’t always going great but we can make a difference on our doorstep.” - Kelly Buxton, Teacher
